FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
This FAQs represent our perspectives in online selling, which have been
outlined for the purpose of creating better understanding and
trading experiences for all. To avoid ill feeling, we strongly
advise you not to proceed with the purchase/s if you are not
comfortable with the dealing methods as outlined below. QUESTIONS:
SHORT & STRAIGHT-TO-THE POINT ANSWERS
- No,
we do not do Self Collect/COD/Meet-Up business, we choose to
concentrate our limited resources to serve our customers more
effficiently through ship-out method [Detailed Answer]
- Depends
on your location and the courier we choose, the order processing
cut-off time is 3.30pm on every working day, if payment and the
verification reach us before the cut-off time, parcels via Skynet will
be shipped out the same day, whereas Poslaju parcels will be sent out
the next working day's morning. Refer to the following answers for how
we choose the courier in accordance to the parcels destination. ( Go to top of page)
- As
principle, the choice of courier is at our discretion, however, if for
valid reason, you can state your preference on courier service when
sending us the payment details, but we reserve the right for not
complying to the request. Basically, we follow the append segregation:
- West
Malaysia : via Skynet, except remote areas which is classified as Zone
4 in Skynet operations, and areas which in our records, proven to be
not efficiently served by Skynet - we ship via Poslaju for
above-mentioned exception areas.
- East Malaysia : strictly via Poslaju
- Though
Poslaju is comparatively a little more efficient compared to other
courier (largely due to its long extablished Pos Malaysia network, but
for some very valid reasons, we choose and prefer to ship with Skynet

- In
terms of straight comparison, most of our items' price are cheaper then
retail shops, if you compare carefully, there are even items with
prices as low as half of the retail price off-line. However, we do not
intentionally compare our price with retail shops, we
concentrate more in competing online, not merely in term of pricing,
but also other expects like services, information provided, speed of
delivery, QC quality assurance etc.
If
one would like to compare between our price with shops' price, it is
only fair not only include the price itself, but the less tengible
gains like time and petrol savings, no need to stuck in traffic jam, no
hassle in finding parking space etc etc etc. ( Go to top of page) - Unclaimed
payment is one of our headache. It does not happen often, but when this
is happen, it can cause misunderstanding. Mainly, it happen due to 2
reasons:
- The particular customer is new to on-line shopping and not
aware that they need to inform the seller on payment details for
verification purpose. If you have forgotten to email us on your payment
details (the particular that is required), kindly do so by email us at

- Email
communication breakdown : just like
any other means of communication, email is not without its limitations.
In very rare cases, emails might go missing due to server
problem or some other unknown reasons, thus, if you do not receive our
response within 24 hours, please resend the mail to
choongkt@gmail.com and cc to ktchoong @ streamyx . com (remove all the
spaces in above email address, I have puposely added in those space to
minimize this address being collected by spammer's spider program).

- We always sell at fixed price and S&H as per our latest listings. We do this for few reasons:
- To
be fair to all customers, especially those who never bargain, we believe it is
morally wrong for us to sell those customers at higher price just
because they trusted us and did not bargain.
- Save on time and
complication, discounts is a very messy things to manage. By selling
with fixed price, we keep the buy-sell process in a very simple manner.
We
adjust prices only according to our costing changes and competition
situation, not customer by customer, we believe this will instill
confidence amongst customers in long term, it does not only make the
dealing simple, customer also will feel secure as they know that they
won't be taken for a ride and buy at higher price just because they do
not bargain.

chances of receiving a faulty item from us is very rare, this is due to
our practice of QC every non-factory-sealed item before shipping (for
factory-sealed item, we need buyers' permission to open pack for QC
purpose, of which we normally will remind customers when confirming their
order).
However, we cannot
eliminate totally the possibility or faulty items, especially when it comes to
electronics, the item might damaged by mishandling in transportation process,
or with no reason at all. In these rare cases, the arrangement would
be: the buyer to post back the item to us at their expenses, after
checking and confirm that the damage is not caused by the buyer's
misuse, we will ship the replacement to them at our expenses. ( Go to top of page) - It
is not our practice to persuade customers to trust us, we understand
that if trust is not present, futher persuasian will only generate
confusion. Thus, for those customers who ask this particular question,
we would like to advise them to make their purchase at off-line retail
shops, as they are still not prepared themselves with the necessary

LONGER & DETAILED EXPLANATION:
- For
those who are not used to online trading, we are sorry to say that we
do not deal COD/Meet-Up. In business world, everybody wants more,
including us, but we understand that we still can't get the best of
both world with our existing limited resources - both in terms of time
and manpower. Thus, we have to set priority and do what we can handle
best. Most of all, we want to be fair to those who have choosen to
trust us, i.e. those who had made payment by only looking at the photos
and reading what we write about the product/s, we want to give them the
best service we can, we want them to receive item/s promptly, we want
them to have the item/s in good condition and we want them to feel
happy and satisfied about the purchase/s, if ever assistance is needed,
we want them to feel and actually experience that we are always there
to provide service that they need...
COD/Meet-Up
is a mode of operation that involve unpredictable time spending in
travelling, waiting, socialing, bargaining, after sales conversation
etc. which we strongly feel is unfair to those who trusted us, made
payment and eagerly awaiting their item/s at home. Thus, we have
decided not to deal COD/Meet-Up until we have enough spare resourses.

- We
cut off our daily order processing at 3.30pm, for payment, address and
verification information that we received before the cut off time, we
ship out the same day with Skynet on the same working day. For East
Malaysia buyers, the shipment will be made through Poslaju the next
working day, if payment and relavant information reach us before cut
off time.
The
exception is on Friday for East Malaysia buyers. For the parcels to be
send on Saturday, Friday cut off time for East Malaysia is 5.30pm.
After the said time, the ship-out will only be made on Tuesday via
Poslaju. Also, please note that every first Saturday of the month is
Poslaju off-day.
Transit
time typically takes around 1 to 3 working days, area dependence. For
major cities and town, parcel normally arrive the next working day of
the ship-out, but to avoid unnecessary disappointment, please allow

- SMS
is an "in-thing" and a convenient way of communication in our personal
life nowadays, we fully agree. BUT to us, we feel it is not an
effective tools in business communications, due to the following
limitations:
- It cost additional money - yes, we admit this is a reason, but not the main one, the following few points are more valid.
- SMS
is not effective in keeping records, unlike emails, especially the
Gmail that we are using which virtually offer us huge space and with
excellent search function, SMS is limited in storage space and
difficult in searching information.
- It is too brief/short to carry much useful/clear business message, that's why it is called short message service.
- Time
consuming - sorry to say this but it is through. 95% of our customers
or potential customers are communicate with us via email, of which we
can type speedily on keyboard, if we spend time press 3 times on the
phone small key pad to produce an alphabet "a", we are delaying the
communication or order processing of 95% of our customers.
THUS, unless it is a very very very urgent matter, we do not send or reply SMS. Our apologies.
However,
we do read our SMS, but not as prompt as reading our emails, thus, if
you have difficulty in accessing internet and have urgent matter, you
can SMS us. (Go to top of page) - Skynet is the official courier in Malaysia
for a leading international online computer vendor, besides following
the leader, we choose to use their services whenever possible due to
the following reasons:
- Efficiency - from our
records to-date (we started to engage Skynet service since 2006),
thousands of parcels had been delivered promptly by the courier
company, next-day-delivery rate is 97% and above. Though occasionally
there are delayed cases, but to be fair, Poslaju is not without problem
either, though the percentage is comparatively lower.
- Cost
effective - yes, we do not deny that with the volume we have, we do
enjoy a little lower shipping rate from Skynet as compared to Poslaju,
however, we do not pocket the savings, those who had purchased from us
know that we pack the parcel properly to protect the item/s, those
carton boxes and packing meterials are purchased with these savings.
- Tracking
system - those who had tried to track their Poslaju parcel will know
the frustration: you won't be able to track the parcel at all most of
the time, always records not updated. Whereas at the other side, not
only we can track every parcel without fail, also we can view the
point-of-delivery airway bill image and see the receipient signature
and particulars online.
- When something is going wrong or when
assistance is needed, there are basically very less we can do for the
parcels shipped via Poslaju, except called their customer service
hotline and request the customers to wait patiently. There are much
more flexible at the Skynet end.
- Same day ship-out - our
special arrangement with Skynet has enable us to do the
same-day-ship-out to the max, with their evening pick-up at our office,
we can manage to ship out the parcel for payments come in before 3.30pm
daily, and it still reach the customers the next day morning, most of

- Newbies
normally have phobia on the security of online trading, to our opinion,
if done correctly, online purchases not only convenient and fast, in
certain expects, it is even more secure than purchasing offline. For a
simple rationale: supposing a buyer cheated by a shop
retailer, what he normally can do is go to the shop and make noise and
let all the customers at presence to know about the
incidence, at the same time, make himself looks like a joker. Whereas
in online buying, one can leave a negative feedback and let the whole
world know about the seller's bad practice. Thus, reputable online
sellers carrying out their business in a very professional way to keep
the customers happy.
However, the above situation is only relevant when the seller you are dealing with has a relatively long trading history
and good track records, the best way to gauge the seller's credibility
is through reading their feedback score. For the benifits of new online
buyers, feedbacks is a online trading system where sellers and
buyers leave thier comment on their trading counterpart after a deal is
done. Browsing through the feedbacks score will let you know (or at
least guage) the conduct and behavior of the particular seller or buyer. Also,
pay some attention to the pattern of the feedbacks scores, if one's
feedbacks always repeated coming from a handful of userID, beware,
something might be fishy there. In
a nutshell, use your sense of logic when making online purchase, your
skill in judgement will improve over time. If a seller have item/s that
you want to purchase but you are not 100% convinced by what you read in
their feedback records, try to start with making as small purchase from
